Marcin Białas 

Graphic artist, illustrator, and educator. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice, where he completed his degree with honors in 2004 in the Intaglio Studio of Professor Jan Szmatloch. Since then, he has been working at his alma mater. In 2011, he earned a PhD in the arts, and in 2019, he was awarded his habilitation degree. Since 2020, he has held the position of professor at the Faculty of Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice.

He has held over 20 solo exhibitions of graphic art in Poland, including Katowice, Warsaw, Białystok, Chorzów, Gliwice, Żywiec, Kielce, Sosnowiec, Toruń, Kalisz, Ostrów Wielkopolski, Nowy Sącz, Gdańsk, Łódź, Żory, and Rzeszów, as well as in Canada (Trois-Rivières), Romania (Ploiești), Germany (Berlin), Ireland (Dublin), Belarus (Minsk), France (Paris), Iran (Tehran), Belgium (Antwerp), Hungary (Budapest), Bulgaria (Sofia, Burgas, Varna).

Since 2003, he has actively participated in graphic arts reviews and festivals in Poland and abroad. He has taken part in around 300 group exhibitions, including competitive ones, earning approximately 50 awards and distinctions.
