Confluence is not only the physical joining of water streams. It is a point of tension: where different energies, chemical compositions, rhythms, and directions meet, without the necessity of immediate blending. For a long stretch, they may flow side by side—together, yet separate. In nature, a confluence is a place of change, new dynamics, and reshuffling—just like in human relations, communication, and art.

The exhibition Confluences treats this phenomenon as a metaphor for contemporary coexistence. The artists present different visual, poetic, performative, social, and sensory strategies. Their statements are not unified—but juxtaposed. They are parallel currents that share a common space without losing distinctiveness.

In the context of today’s world—full of stimuli, channels of communication, and constant notifications—the project asks about meaningful connections: not instant transmissions, but situations in which we can be together without the need for homogenization.

An integral part of the exhibition are workshops: activities in the fields of performance, culinary arts, and self-publishing, which expand the practice of communication. Here, conversation may begin with the body, taste, or word—and unfold differently than in the digital world.

Confluences is a space of co-presence. Without imposed rhythm, without domination of a single narrative. It is an attempt to be together—not through similarity, but through attentiveness.
